When you decide that a break up was not really what you wanted, but it was something that was unavoidable, then you need to know how you can get your ex back in your life for good. You do not want them back just for a couple of weeks or just for a weekend of fun. You want them to be there no matter what for the rest of your life. This means you need a plan. Here are three things that have to go in every plan to get an ex back into your life.
1. Time and space
You might want them back right now, but if it happens too soon they will not stay and you will just go back down the road of being hurt once again. This is not what you are after so you have to give them space to sort things out and it will take time. This is when you have to have the patience and be more of a friend for them than anything else. You might even have to go a full month without much of any contact, but what is one month compared to the rest of your life.
2. Working on you
When you want to get your ex back and you want them to stay forever, you have to show them that you do not depend fully on them for happiness. Go work on yourself by doing some things you are interested in doing and staying active. This will also help to keep your mind off of them. You can spend more time at the gym, take a class of some sort, or just rekindle some of your friendships with people you have not spent much time with due to all the time you have been spending with your ex before they became your ex.
3. Keep everything casual
When it comes to the plan to get your ex back you have to understand that casual is better for now. The first few months of the process are going to be difficult, but you have to keep it friendly and casual. Do not do anything that does not have an end or is not in a public place. You want to keep the physical part of the relationship to an absolute minimum. The last thing you want to become is the guaranteed booty call that some exes become. This would not help you towards your goal to get your ex back forever.
